Thermoplastic is an innovative approach which allows protection to be applied on site to objects of any shape or size.  Built in corrosion inhibitors, a tough impermeable barrier coating and ease of application opens up new possibilities for protecting industrial assets and essential infrastructure such as pipework flanges and switch gear.     

10,000 Hour ASTM Hot Salt Fog Test

How well the thermoplastic system protects is demonstrated in this picture from a recently completed 10,000 hr ASTM B117 hot salt fog test - ten times the average length of most hot salt fog testing.

The contrast between the unprotected control and the thermoplastic protected test piece is stark.

On the control piece, the coating has failed and the bolt is severely rusted but, within the thermoplastic cocoon, no rusting has taken place.

Nuts and bolts on the protected sample could be turned by hand, with no corrosion on any thread or flange surface.

Thermoplastic is ideally suited for application to difficult areas that suffer heavy corrosion in aggressive environments. 

Forming an impermeable barrier to the environment, thermoplastic provides long term corrosion protection immediately. The material can be shaped and cut once cured to ensure that edges are uniform and able to prevent water ingress.

Mothballing of valuable pieces of equipment can be made easy and cost effective by applying this product to assets of all shapes and sizes.

Built in inhibiting oils are constantly released on the inner surface of the encapsulation, providing constant corrosion protection.
