SPG offer a specialised and comprehensive tank lining service

Our engineers are experts in steel surface preparation and the application of an extensive range of tank lining systems

Tank Linings

Utilising our experience in chemical corrosion protection, SPG offer a specialised and comprehensive tank lining service for the on-site, internal and external lining of industrial storage and process tanks.

It is is more cost effective to install a tank lining system to an existing or in-situ tank than to replace the vessel. It also has less direct impact on the process the tank is integrated in to. The priorities when specifying any tank lining system is the on-going purity of the contained product, the protection to the integrity of the vessel and the long term protection to the environment form the stored material.

As a company we are fully aware of the role the Drinking Water Inspectorate have in specifying approved products for water filtration units and we have extensive experience in installing these coating systems.

At Specialist Painting Group we specialise in corrosion and erosion prevention. We adopt an innovative approach to problem solving and project management.  We source the most dynamic, durable and sustainable materials extending the service life of a tank by up to ten years.

Our engineers are experts in steel surface preparation and the application of an extensive range of tank lining systems, designed to meet every corrosion and containment challenge. Our operatives hold confined space and full first aid certification, eliminating any access issues that arise on site.

Secondary Containment:

Secondary containment or bunded containment areas are used to correctly store bulk stocks of liquids that could potentially contaminate the environment in the event of a spillage. Bulk storage vessels are located within a secondary bund containment area.

In many cases these catchment areas are capable of containing the spillage but have not been constructed or lined with a membrane that is fully resistant to the chemical or product stored within the vessels in the secondary containment area. SPG has a vast knowledge of the application of advanced coating systems for bunded containment.

These systems include polyurea and high build epoxy novolacs.  It is important that liquid materials are store correctly and in the event of an accident, aggressive and harmful chemicals can be contained in the catchment area and recovered safely.
