Waste to Energy

The waste to energy industry is one of Europe fastest growing areas due to our need to find more sustainable means of producing energy.

Due to the nature of the different processes of producing energy from waste, planned maintenance of business critical steel assets is an important tool in maintaining a sites capabilities to operate.  Corrosion is common place and can take effect rapidly because of the environment surrounding a waste to energy site.  Many sites use thermal processes such as incineration resulting in high humidity levels and corrosive by products causing the deterioration of the surrounding structures.

Our experience of working for such clients as London Waste, FCC Environmental and Virridor has given us a firm understanding of the requirements of a 24 hour waste to energy site.  These aggressive environments require a technical understanding of the relevant products that can be used to offer protection against such things as highly corrosive ash and elevated temperatures.

Specialist Painting Group have the capabilities to create robust specifications as part of a turnkey approach to protective coating application within the waste to energy industry.
