Reactor Tanks

Reactor Tanks

SPG have implemented RPR heat induction technology to remove the existing coating system from seven reactor tanks inside a potable water facility.

Abrasive blast cleaning was originally implemented but caused too may issues with safety, noise, air pollution, hazardous waste and programme.  With extensive experience in the industry Specialist Painting Group introduced our client to RPR heat induction.  This process is a silent means of removing an existing coating that creates very little air borne pollution and is creates a safer working environment for other trades.  Mechanical preparation to achieve the specified requirements was utilised after the coating system was removed prior to the application of a PPG protective coating system.
