Network Rail

Network Rail undertake projects throughout the year.  This has caused our client issues when trying to complete protective projects in adverse conditions.  SPG were asked to recommend and test a coating system that can be applied and cure at temperatures down to 0ºC and be installed when the relative humidity is above 98%.

Through our contacts in Germany we have recommended a single component coatings system that cures using the Water vapour in the air.  We are now at the testing stage on site where AW Corrosion Solutions are looking for adhesion and compatibility with the existing epoxy coating system.

The potential inclusion of our new coating system in to the Network Rail specifications could mean a reduction in down time through the winter and increased productivity on site when the ambient conditions would not allows the application of other coating systems.
