Chartek

Chartek

Specialist Painting Group Ltd have spent the November training with International Paints technical team on the practical aspects of the Chartek epoxy passive fire protection application.

We have spent 2015 working with International Paint on gaining our Chartek company license and individual applicator incenses for our ICATS engineers and coating inspectors.  Chartek is a recognised and commonly specified system designed to protect steel structures against hydrocarbon jet and pool fires for up to 3 hours.  EPFP products are sprayed using plural component equipment due to the viscosity of the material and short pot life when base and catalyst are mixed together.
