SPG were contracted to install a two component, high build epoxy coating system with a UV stable topcoat to a carbon steel fertiliser deck weighing in excess of twenty tonnes.  The steel decking was blast cleaned to a (BS EN ISO 8501-1) SA2.5 standard of preparation in the contained blasting area in Peterborough.  The coating was installed using a high performance airless spraying rig.  The finished film thickness was measured at 300µm.  We anticipate another fertiliser deck being completed by SPG later this year.
